Prince William Will Participate in UN Climate Conference in Brazil

Prince William will represent the United Nations climate conference in Brazil during November, as announced by palace sources.

The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception preceding the environmental conference, which is set to be held in the northern Brazilian city of Belem.

The King and Prince were present at the Natural History Museum reception, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting arranged together with the United Kingdom administration.

Climate Leadership Dedication

The King has been a longstanding advocate of environmental conservation - and the Prince of Wales has assumed the responsibility, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be hosted in Rio before the UN meeting.

Official representatives have characterized Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as stepping up an crucial position in "global climate discussions".

Previous Activities

The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the state Bentley, were greeted participants featuring environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and politicians.

This engagement included speaking together with President Emmanuel Macron of France and other world leaders at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.

Environmental Prize Connection

The COP30 summit will coincide with the prince's own Earthshot environmental awards, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the eve of he participates in the climate conference on November 6th.

In recent days the William characterized the prize competitors as "contemporary champions".

The monarch has been a prominent presence at previous climate summits, delivering the inaugural speech in the United Arab Emirates for COP28, including the statement: "The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth".

"Throughout my life I've dedicated a substantial portion of my life trying to warn of the survival risks facing us over climate change, global temperature increases and biodiversity loss," the King told participants.
