The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Party
From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the urban setting.
Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure are included.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to the DM, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the party enter places they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Seekers and Schemers parties.
